| Start a New Discussion | Information on Christin Bucket and Billy Malcolm
26th June 2007
Hi As a couple of teenagers, my and my wife's parents, had caravans at Pease Bay from 1972 - 1978. We got to know a Christine Bucket (her mother worked at the shop at Pease Bay) and a Billy Malcolm (Billy's father was the warden at Pease Bay) very well. Both were in their teens and lived in Co'path. Not sure where Christine lived but Billy's house was next to a garage on the corner of the old A1 and Hoprig Road - opposite what used to be the Hotel. Would anybody know what became of them. Regards
27th June 2007 Keep a check on the Chat Forum as I will put any results there Thanks again, Tom Dean ........ Secretary of the Community Council 28th June 2007 I have been talking to one of the older members of the community who remembers both Christine and Malcolm. Christine moved away from Cockburnspath over 15 years ago to the nearby town of Eyemouth. Contact was lost after that. I have checked the local Telephone Directory and there are no Buckets` listed. Malcolm died about 5 years ago whilst playing football. Tom Dean .....................

Hi Tom
Many thanks for such a prompt reply. So sorry to hear about Billy Malcolm - as young lads we had memorable times down at Pease Bay. I'm assuming that up until the point he died he lived local to Co'path. His he buried in the cemetery adjacent to the railway? Passing that way on route to Edinburgh in August so may stop by. Best regards
29th June 2007 I am not able to answer that question just now but will look into it and post anything I find out right here. Tom Dean .....................
