MARSHALL BROWN TRUST

The Marshall Brown Trust was set up in 1992 after the sale of the two paintings by William Marshall Brown which were gifted to the village in 1949 by his widow. Copies of the paintings now hang in the Church Hall.

The money was invested, and the income is used for the benefit of the village and surrounding area. It is the Trustees intention to distribute the money annually in March, but requests for grants will be considered at other times if the need arises.

Applications and suggestions from organisations and individuals are invited, and should be addressed to:

Mrs Diana Drysdale
Secretary,
Marshall Brown Trust
'Hazeldean'
Old Cambus
Cockburnspath.
Berwickshire

Telephone: 01368 830680

e-mail: d.drysdale101@btinternet.com

The following points should be borne in mind by applicants:

1.   The fund is not intended to replace the normal fund raising activities of organisations, but is to be used for special projects.

2.   All applications should be accompanied by as much background information as possible, including, where appropriate, estimates, details of other grants etc applied for, and plans for raising the rest of the money needed.
