MINUTES FOR MEETING OF 8th MARCH 2006.

1. PRESENT: John Hay, Clifford Bertram, Fiona Deeming (Minutes Secretary), Peter Hood,
Jean Virtue, Marnie McGregor, Tom Dean, Councillor John Elliot (Duns and District North SBC).
PC Christian Flucker, Ken Underwood.

2. ADOPTION OF MINUTES OF 8th FEBRUARY 2006
2.1. Minutes discussed and accepted.

3. POLICE MATTERS.
3.1. Report of youth being assaulted on a school bus.
3.2. Possible house break in.
3.3. Report of vandalism to motor vehicle in Croftsacre.

4. Re; PRESENTATION OF OPTIONS FOR DEVELOPMENT WITHIN THE LOCAL PLAN.
4.1. John has received a letter from Turley Ass' thanking him for the copy of the comments / objections
to the draft local plan from the public meeting.

5. CORRESPONDENCE.

5.1.1. SBC reply to queries over Bus service 253.
5.1.2. SBC reply to queries over "smiley face" speed limit sign.

5.2. Letters received.
5.2.1. Notification of Environmental group AGM.
5.2.2. Letter regarding Digital TV.
5.2.3. Community Council Forum, meeting 22nd March.
5.2.4. "Are we listening"
5.2.5. 7th to 9th July Jim Clark Rally.
5.2.6. SBC finance plans 2006/7.
5.2.7. Received from Cockburnspath Playgroup, request for wind farm community grant of £1507 approx.,
approved, after vote.

6. ANY OTHER BUSINESS.
6.1. John Elliot reported that the recycling of rubbish will commence in the near future.
6.2. SBC elections. The new multi ward boundaries are yet to be fixed,
and the Scottish Executive will be counting the votes electronically.
