2. ADOPTION OF MINUTES OF 12th July 2006
2.1. Minutes discussed and accepted.
3. MATTERS ARISING.
3.1. Water leak outside Sea View: Still to be attended to.
3.2. Cove Notice Board; account paid.
3.3. Village Signs; request has been passed to appropriate authorities.
3.4. Bankhead Cemetery, rabbits: awaiting reply.
3.5. Golf activities on football field: no further golf balls in gardens.
3.6. Siccar Point query: Denise Walton, Director, Borders Foundation
for Rural Sustainability has yet to reply.
4. LETTERS.
4.1. Letter from Michael Moore MP, update on digital TV.
4.2. Community Council Network: newsletter and notification of seminar
on the 7th October from 10am to 3pm, expenses are available.
5. PLANNING MATTERS.
5.1. Local plan on land allocation for houses: Community Council may
be called to Eyemouth to discuss, 24th/26th Sept.
6. ANY OTHER BUSINESS.
6.1. After receiving an email regarding the upgrading of the Cove water
treatment plant, the CC wishes to find out what the capacity of the plant
will be after the work is complete.
6.2. It was requested that we write to Purely Scottish again as big
lorries are starting to use the village as a route to the works.
6.3. A foot bridge has been erected over the burn by the old waste
water works to create a new path from the old butchers shop via the waste
water works to join up with the Southern Upland Way. Our thanks to Ewan
Calvert and SBC for their efforts.
6.4. Village welcome signs: With a view to the future, as village growth
settles, a number of designs for signs were looked at. These were provided
by the Eyemouth and East Berwickshire Partnership.
